Who qualifies as an essential worker?

Any person who is a volunteer, employed, active or retired emergency responder is eligible for regular non-voting membership with full privileges. Emergency Responder means a licensed medical services provider, law enforcement officer, firefighter, volunteer firefighter or officer of a nonprofit volunteer fire company, emergency medical technician, emergency nurse, ambulance operator, provider of civil defense services, or any other person who in good faith renders emergency care or assistance at a crime scene or the scene of an emergency or accident.  In addition, immediate household family members of Emergency Responders shall be eligible as members.  Persons who support Emergency Responders through employment or volunteering may be eligible for membership.  The Board of Directors shall have the right to approve or reject an application for membership for any reason, in its sole discretion, however, no one shall be discriminated against because of race, religion, gender, ethnic or cultural background.
